Sheephead Creek Loop

Sheephead Creek Loop Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Sheephead Creek area provides one of the most unusual hikes on the Montana side of the Bitterroots. The loop traverses wildlife-rich upland country, terrain quite different from the deeply glaciated fare found elsewhere in the eastern reaches of the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, and affords the discriminating hiker an opportunity to see lots of interesting country without retracing a single step along the way.

You can hike this loop in either direction, but the counterclockwise route is less physically demanding."
