Yellowstone River, Lower - Livingston to Columbus Professional Review and Guide
"As the river weaves its way under I-90 and through the heart of Livingston, the scenic value decreases somewhat. Thankfully, the inverse is true of the size of the fish in this section, with consistent fishing throughout the year for large 18"+ browns and rainbows in particular. Floaters, beware of the 9th Street Bridge—it is low and narrow, and deceptive currents can push you off your mark as you head under the bridge.
Types of Fish: Yellowstone Cutthroat, Brown, and Rainbow Trout, Carp, Whitefish. This fly-fishing chapter describes the "where, when, and how" for fishing in this area. It includes a full-page map and information on the known hatches, suggested equipment to use, the best flies to use, season, limits, nearby accommodations, and camping."
