Lakes and Creeks of the Middle Fork Flathead River in Glacier National Park

Lakes & Creeks of the Middle Fork Flathead River in Glacier National Park Professional Review and Guide

"This tributary of the Middle Fork is rarely fished and in places awfully scarred by the straightening of U.S. Highway 2. However, being near a road has its advantages, and on your way to or from fishing a quick stop to give pan-sized cutthroats some exercise may be in order. Focus on sections less straightened by the road. Fish concentrate in the pools, not in the runs.

This eTrail includes these fishing destinations in the Middle Fork of the Flathead River Drainage: Autumn Creek, Bear Creek, Jackstraw Lake, Ole Creek, Fielding Creek, Debris Creek, Ole Lake, Below Brave Dog Mountain Lake, Upper Lake Isabel, Lake Isabel, Striped Elk Lake, Park Creek, Muir Creek, Coal Creek, Elk Creek, Pinchot Creek, Nyack Lakes, Thompson Creek, Nyack Creek, Harrison Creek, Harrison Lake, Lincoln Creek, Walton Creek, Lincoln Lake, and Lake Ellen Wilson. Species include: westslope cutthroat trout, bull trout, mountain whitefish, brook trout, rainbow trout, and kokanee salmon."
