City of Butte Professional Review and Guide

"The city began with a diverse cultural representation of miners, including a high percentage of Irish people. Even today, Butte has a statewide reputation for its celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Local restaurants feature an interesting assortment of ethnic foods. This includes the Cornish-Welsh pasty (PAST-ee) that miners favored because of the food’s heartiness and portability. Chinese noodles were introduced in Butte by the Asian community. Other ethnic groups that settled in Butte include Italians, Serbs, Scandinavians, Mexicans, Germans, and African-Americans, to name a few. This eTrail provides detailed information on family-friendly things to do.

The destinations include: Butte Visitor Center and Walking Trail, Berkeley Pit, Granite Mountain Memorial, St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Old Number 1 Tour Train, World Museum of Mining and 1899 Mining Camp, Montana Tech Mineral Museum, "M" Trail, Copper King Mansion, Arts Chateau, The Mai Wah Noodle Parlor and Wah Chong Tai Buildings, Our Lady of the Rockies, Clarks Park, Stodden Park and Public Pool, and Father Sheehan Park."
