Starts out as a none-to-exciting old jeep or logging trail, but quickly becomes a beautiful hike weaving along the creek, into a meadow, and up the side of the basin to Squaw Divide. From the top of the ridge, you can see Hyalite Lake 2-2.5 miles below. A bit of snow pack remained a quarter mile from the top of the divide.
