New World Gulch Trail

New World Gulch Trail Professional Review and Guide

"The New World Gulch Trail heads up a narrow drainage to a meadow and canyon. The area retains water, which causes muddy spots along the trail early in the season. The trail is part of a 5.5-mile loop, although the adjoining loop trail is difficult to find. This hike returns along the same trail."

Four of us skied up New World gulch to the divide to Bozeman creek. From there we went left up the gentle divide to a meadow, followed it right to the end where we climbed to a saddle. From there we followed the divide south to the Bear Canyon - Bozeman creek trail. We followed that trail down to where we started. It makes a nice 14 mile loop.
