Flathead Pass Hillclimb

Flathead Pass Hillclimb Professional Review and Guide

"Located 21 miles north of Bozeman at the north end of the Bridger Range. Since the 1970s a handful of Bozeman diehard bikies have ridden Flathead Pass as a 60-mile loop, pedaling out the west side from town, and then coming back down Bridger Canyon on the east flank of the Bridger Range. It’s a marathon of crosswinds, headwinds, hills, and molar-rattling roads.

Highlights: An excellent hillclimb between towering cliffs; good views east and west from atop 6,955-foot Flathead Pass.

Tread: 2.2 miles on gravel road; 2.1 on rough, dirt (often muddy) jeep track."
