Rocke Jeune– Dull Knife Loop: Two Moon Park Natural Area Professional Review and Guide
"Two Moon Park encompasses 150 acres on the banks of the Yellowstone River on the southeast side of Billings Heights. The park was named for one of the key Cheyenne Indian chiefs at the Battle of the Little Bighorn. It sits in a natural riparian area beneath 80-foot sandstone cliffs. The popular hiking and biking paths are also dog-friendly. This loop hike follows the Rocke Jeune Trail along the Yellowstone River. The path weaves through lush groves of cottonwood, box elder, willows, and Russian olive trees, passing small sandy beaches. The return route on the Dull Knife Trail meanders through grassland meadows with scattered cottonwoods."
