Martin Lake Basin

Martin Lake Basin Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Multitudes of scenic, trout-filled lakes and a high-altitude waterfall, an excellent base camp trip with many side trips. For those who like to spend one moderately hard day getting into a beautiful base camp and then spend several days doing scenic day trips, this is an ideal choice.

Trail 614 starts out downhill but then goes uphill after about a mile at the junction with Trail 568 to Upper Granite Lake. Turn right and stay on Trail 614. For the first 2.5 miles, the trail travels through an enormous, high-altitude meadow carpeted with wildflowers."
