Great Falls Creek Trail: Main Boulder Valley Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The Great Falls Creek Trail climbs 4,250 feet over 8 miles to Upper Great Falls Creek Lake, the creek’s headwaters just above the timberline. The lake is a mile shy of the pass atop the West Boulder Plateau. This hike, within the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, follows the first 2.4 miles of the trail, zigzagging 1,400 feet up the north canyon wall. The forested trail overlooks the turbulent cascades of Great Falls Creek. For extended hiking, the trail continues over the plateau and descends into the West Boulder drainage along Falls Creek."
