Crazy Mountains Crossing

Crazy Mountains Crossing Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Rugged mountain scenery along a transmountain range route. The Crazy Mountains stand majestically above the plains near Livingston and Big Timber. Severe glacial scouring has produced the enchanting valleys that contain numerous high-elevation lakes. Beautifully sculptured peaks and serrated ridges radiating from the core of the range rise above 11,000 feet and offer stunning views of the surrounding prairies and distant mountains. This hike description is for two nights out, giving you a glimpse of how pleasant life can be in the heart of mountain goat country, the Crazy Mountains, but don’t hesitate to stay longer."

Great hike, majestic view of Camp Fire Lake. We came up through the west side which is a difficult uphill climb but well worth the view.
