Waterton Lake, which straddles the Canada-United States border, is accessible from the U.S. side by trail, and by boat or trail from Canada. Only half of this lake is in the United States. The other half is part of Canada’s Waterton Lakes National Park. The northern border of Glacier National Park is where the two parks meet, forming the International Peace Park. The Canadian park service maintains trails and interpretive programs on the Canadian side of the lake, so you could spend significant time enjoying a bit of Canada here, too. This eTrail provides detailed information on family-friendly things to do. The destinations include: Rainbow Falls.
