Legion State Park Loop Professional Review and Guide
"This relatively short hike takes a watery trip at historic Legion State Park. The trail travels not only along the lake, but also through wetlands and hills. Though the trail is short, it packs a lot of climbing and descending into the trek. Occasional interpretive signs are scattered along the path. This hike takes place at one of the four Mississippi state parks developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Many other impressive works still remain from the CCC days, including the park lodge, which is in sight of the trailhead. Today, the lodge is used for business meetings, church functions, and family gatherings. Walk downhill from the parking area into pines. Legion Lake lies before you."
