Sutton Bluff Recreation Area Professional Review and Guide
"Sutton Bluff Recreation Area is named for R. G. Sutton, who settled this valley on the Black River in 1888. Three generations of Suttons farmed the river bottoms below the impressive bluff just upstream from the campground. A pretty meander of the Black River curls around the campsites, and another wooded bluff rises steeply to the west to shade the campground in the late afternoon. Sutton Bluff is a wonderful place for hiking, picnicking, mountain biking, canoeing, swimming, or just hanging out."
