Loggers Lake Recreation Area Professional Review and Guide
"Loggers Lake is one of many beautiful facilities built throughout Missouri and Arkansas by the Great Depression–era Civilian Conservation Corps. Constructed in 1939–40 by CCC Company 1730 from nearby Bunker, Loggers Lake is a clear blue, 22-acre pool surrounded by green-forested hills. The campground at this end-of-the-road hideaway is a peaceful Ozarks retreat and a great place to hike, swim, boat, fish, or simply relax. This wonderful, laid-back campground is great for hanging out. Next to the picnic area is a small gravel beach ideal for swimming and wading. Loggers Lake is a nice place to drift around in your canoe too. Whether from a canoe or the lake's shores, anglers can go after smallmouth bass and sunfish. The gravel beach and open grassy lawn next to Loggers Lake are wonderful places for stargazing."
