Hawn State Park Whispering Pines Trail—North Loop

Sainte Genevieve, Missouri

Hawn State Park: Whispering Pines Trail—North Loop Professional Review and Guide

"A 6.5-mile loop through a mixed-hardwood and pine forest, the north loop of the Whispering Pines Trail offers a longer day trip for hikers looking to take in many of the sites in Hawn State Park. Several options exist to make your hike longer or shorter should you choose. An additional 4.0-mile southern loop can be used to extend your half-day hike to a full-day adventure.

Many of the visitors who come to Hawn State Park believe it to be the loveliest park in Missouri. The 4,953-acre park is located in the eastern Ozark Mountains and is home to the 2,880-acre Whispering Pine Wild Area and Pickle Creek, a state natural area. The park was acquired by the state in 1955."
