Saint Louis Forest Park Tour

Saint Louis Forest Park Tour Professional Review and Guide

"With more than thirteen hundred acres, this park is larger than New York’s Central Park. Dedicated in 1876, the park took its name from the natural forest that once covered this area. Named one of the top ten urban parks in the country, Forest Park welcomes thousands of people each day, and no wonder.

Within this large, grassy rectangle you will find the St. Louis Art Museum; the Missouri History Museum in the imposing Jefferson Memorial Building; St. Louis Science Center and Planetarium; the Jewel Box with its seasonal horticulture displays; the Muny, the city’s outdoor concert arena; the zoo; the World’s Fair Pavilion; and the Steinberg Skating Rink. Dozens of tennis courts and sports fields, several lakes, picnic grounds, hiking and biking trails, bridle paths, and boating and fishing opportunities round out the outdoor options. Special attractions: Magnificent and expansive city park, museums, zoo, pastoral setting, boating and fishing."

Everything about Forest park is wonderful. The park it self is just a fun place to be, wether your interest are biking, walking, site seeing, golfing, ice skating, rollerblading, photograph, or just relaxing forest park is a cool place. My major is school is horticulture and I took my Turf Managment class with the head superintendent of the park and him and all of his employees put a lot of time and effort in making this park one of the most beautiful parks in the nation.
