Missouri Botanical Garden, Saint Louis Professional Review and Guide

"In addition to being a delightful place to stroll, the Missouri Botanical Garden also houses a major botanical library and the William T. Kemper Center for Home Gardening. It is also a world leader in botanical and environmental research, with an emphasis on the study of rain forests and the planet’s overall environmental quality.

Shaw always intended this garden—known as Shaw’s Garden to most St. Louisans—to be for everyone. Consider yourself among his guests. Special attractions: Beautifully maintained gardens on seventy-nine acres, including the fourteen-acre Japanese Garden, the smaller English and Chinese gardens, the Climatron conservatory, and Tower Grove House."

I'm a member of the botanical gardens and may be biased but I love walking around the gardens, especially in late spring. It is a very easy walk but it can get crowded on a nice weekend. The flowers are beautiful and there is a children's play area in the fashion of an old western town. Bring quarters to feed the coy in the Japanese garden.
