A Fun hike with great views of Belleview valley form the balds. I hiked up on September 5 (Labor Day). It did not look like there had been anyone up there all summer! I disturbed a flock of Turkeys (about 20 or so) just past the first summit. I regretted forgetting my trekking poles. I hung out at the balds for a while and did not do a complete circuit, but the hike was worth the drive down form St. Louis, if only to get away all the people. I did not meet a single person on the trail that day.
