Devreaux Ridge

Devreaux Ridge Professional Review and Guide

"Are you always trying to get a mountain bike outing together with a bunch of your friends, but you can't find a place suited to everyone's abilities? This ride is the answer. Devreaux Ridge is a great ride for beginners and experts alike. Inexperienced riders will enjoy the manageable grades and relatively smooth double-track roads on this route.

Stronger riders can have blasting up and down the long grade between Devreaux Ridge and splashing through the crossings of Garrison Branch. There is just enough rough stuff to make the ride a fun mountain bike excursion, but not so much that first-timers will be intimidated. This trail is located 6 miles south of Chadwick."

Devreaux Ridge is a good ride in any season. Spring and fall, with their cooler temperatures, are best. Spring is the ultimate choice, when the ridge is painted white by one of the biggest concentrations of dogwoods. If you do ride in summer, you can beat off the summer heat by swimming in Garrison
