This is a very lovely drive, not to mention a nice shortcut! There are countless roads veering off, some of which you can take a vehicle down, but most of which are designed for 4-wheelers only. If you are interested in doing any off-roading, I would suggest you find a map because there really are a LOT of roads and it would be hard to find your way around if you don''t know where you''re going. There are many places suitable for pulling over and doing some trail blazing, and you can also use the numerous 4-wheel trails to do any amount of miles in this lovely area. About halfway down the road is a lovely little picnic area with a fantastic view. Right across from this is a marked trail that leads to Onyx Cave. Be very careful if you plan on entering the cave, it''s not for amatuers. This is an excellent drive to take in the fall.
