Pickle Springs Natural Area Trail Through Time

Pickle Springs Natural Area: Trail Through Time Professional Review and Guide

"A highlight of the Pickle Springs Natural Area, this short interpretive hike features towering limestone bluffs, breezy canyons, and several interesting sandstone rock formations. Visit in the early spring after wet weather to see the waterfall flowing.

It is believed that the sandstone in this area is the remains of sandy beaches from a shallow ocean that existed here over 500 million years ago, hence the trail name Trail Through Time. Besides the beautiful rock formations, Pickle Springs Natural Area is also home to more than 250 species of plants."
