Great River Bluffs State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Hikes in southeastern Minnesota are noted for their spectacular views of the Mississippi River Valley, great expanses of farmland, and nearby cities. Most of the hikes at Great River Bluffs are easy trails the whole family can enjoy. However, watch children closely near bluff edges.
Trails can be slippery when wet, and the bluff hikes take you 500 to 600 feet above the river. The Great River Bluffs trails lead you through an interpretive nature trail, to scenic overlooks, and through hardwood forests to the top of King’s Bluff for a clear view of green valleys and the Mississippi River far below. You can choose short hikes, take longer loops, or cover all of the 6.5 miles of trails in the park."
