South Fork of the Crow-Watertown to Rockford

South Fork of the Crow-Watertown to Rockford Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The South Fork broadens and straightens, and fallen trees are far less a problem. This final section of the South Fork is probably the most popular stretch to paddle, and for good reason. It’s a lot closer to the many people who live on the western fringe of the Twin Cities. It is less prone to blockage, even though the banks and bottomlands are more thoroughly wooded.

And except for the low-head dam at the put-in (river mile 13.8), there’s not a portage or permanent obstruction on it. Take out at the carry-in access (river mile 1.9) in Lake Rebecca Park Reserve.
Or continue downstream to the confluence with the North Fork of the Crow River."
