Two Trails Challenge Ride

Two Trails Challenge Ride Professional Review and Guide

"It’s your choice! Ride on county roads that meander around shimmering lakes reaching out from Leech Lake’s fingered shoreline. Or cut it short by using the paved Paul Bunyan and Heartland bike trails. Starting in Walker, on the southwest corner of the Ojibwe National Forest, the ride first makes a circle tour to the south.

Enjoying rolling forested terrain occasionally passing a pristine lake, the route arrives in a town with a mythical statue. As you consider your options with the two paved bike trail systems running through this route, the tour now makes a loop to the north up to a scenic byway. At the upper end you will pass through a town once known as "robbers roost" before returning to the lakefront park in Walker."
