Cadotte Lake Campground

Cadotte Lake Campground Professional Review and Guide

"Cadotte Lake is a good source for northern pike, walleye, and panfish. The campground’s location within Superior National Forest means that there’s an abundance of other types of recreation as well, including extensive hiking trails and canoe routes. The campground also has a nice swimming beach. The campsites have a good amount of privacy and shade, some with lake views and easy access to hiking trails. Pets are allowed.

This part of the state is one of the most scenic and beloved areas in Minnesota. It’s also steeped in history. Originally settled by the Ojibwe, the northeast area was soon discovered by Europeans who came looking for trade routes and posts. Fur trading was a booming business until the mid-1800s, when the traders and trappers moved farther west to the Mississippi headwaters area."
