Glacial Lakes State Park

Glacial Lakes State Park Professional Review and Guide

"This park is a fine example of what the prairies used to look like in this part of the country. During the spring and summer, visitors can find countless varieties of prairie grasses and wildflowers. They’ll also have access to Signalness Lake for fishing (bluegill, northern pike, and walleye are all found here), swimming, and boating (but note that only electric motors are allowed on this lake).

There are 16 miles of hiking trails and 5 miles of paved bike trails. There are also 11 miles of horse trails. The campsites are very spacious and private. RV access sites are in a densely wooded area, which contributes to the privacy, while the backpack sites are out on the prairie. Pets are allowed."
