Superior Hiking Trail: Beaver River, Blueberry Ridge, and the Agate Flow Professional Review and Guide
"The walking path takes you through one of the more developed sections of the North Shore. Despite the near-constant presence of taconite operations, highways, and towns, this section offers dramatic views from high anorthosite, basalt, and diabase ridges, as well as a pleasant walk along the Beaver River and its many rapids and falls.
What a difference a day makes. The first time Judy and I walked this section it was cold, bone-chilling cold for the 5th of June. The temperature was 47 degrees with rain falling steadily out of a lead grey sky. The second time was on April 26th the following year, and it was sunny and 60 degrees–a glorious day for a really nice walk."
