Shovel Point Falls— Tettegouche State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This is a slender little waterfall, largely dependent on ample water flow to even flow at all, but the setting is sublime. No trip to Tettegouche is complete without a hike to Shovel Point, and this waterfall is right on the way.
Tettegouche is one of my favorite go-to destinations, and this short hike is one continuous highlight reel of stop-in-your-tracks scenery. The trail hugs close to the edge of a cliff high above Lake Superior, curving through a handsome forest of maple, pine, birch, and aspen. A cleft in the ridge contains the skinny creek, at the base of a long set of steps."
