Falls of Manitou River— George H. Crosby Manitou State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Although less than a half dozen crow-fly miles separate Crosby Manitou from the MN 61 traffic buzz, this state park has a rugged, remote spirit full of adventure. The Manitou River, flowing from the lake region way up near Isabella, is one the state’s most scenic, and it plunges through Crosby’s wilderness environs in a lively parade of cascades and waterfalls.
The Superior Hiking Trail (SHT) spends a little time here, and there are 23 miles of additional trails to explore. The hiking is challenging to match the terrain, and the isolated, riverside campsites are a backpacker’s delight, along with several unforgettable overlooks of the river valley and Lake Superior."
