Kettle River-Old Dam Site to MN 48

Kettle River-Old Dam Site to MN 48 Professional Review and Guide

"Having spent most of its gradient and energy in its wild ride through Banning State Park, the Kettle now slows and settles, winding past wooded banks, with only a few minor outbursts.

For the most part, this stretch provides a placid route through a shallow, wooded valley. Look for songbirds, waterfowl, great blue herons, beavers, and river otters, especially in the backwaters that lie off the main channel. The only navigational problems come early in the trip."
