Minnemishinona Falls

Minnemishinona Falls Professional Review and Guide

"A long-held local secret, largely unknown to most of us for decades, Nicollet County acquired this scenic falls area and opened it to the public in 2007. The three-acre county park now includes a picnic site and a bridge across the river and falls for excellent viewing.

The paved trail across the falls heads toward Mankato as part of an extensive network of bike trail routes. The Minnesota River Valley boasts a stunning landscape of wooded ravines and high bluffs overlooking expansive valleys cradling the river. Often overlooked by travelers and even seasoned natives, the river’s long, winding course in this south-central region of the state holds mystery and adventure, and a who’s who of very active and visible wildlife."
