    Minnesota River Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Minnesota River makes for a natural choice when considering paddles within the Twin Cities metro area thanks to its location as a tributary of the Mississippi River, which flows through both Minneapolis and Saint Paul. The Minnesota flows northwest right into the Mississippi at a point where you’re in the middle of the southern border of both city limits.

For this relaxing paddle through the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, however, we stop just short of the Mississippi after paddling a hair under 9 miles, starting underneath I-35W from a nondescript launch point."
