Mantrap Lake Campground Professional Review and Guide
"Located within Paul Bunyan State Forest, this primitive campground may not have hookups or dump stations, but it has several recreational amenities that make it attractive, including a swimming area and a playground. It’s best known, however, for its fishing. Mantrap Lake is a designated muskie lake, and there’s easy access to the lake from the campground.
The forest itself has extensive trails for hiking, mountain biking, and ATV riding. (Note: The forest is open to hunters, so if you’re camping during hunting season, take precautions.) The campsites are spaced reasonably far apart, allowing for privacy, and are surrounded by aspen and pine trees. Pets are allowed."
