Elm Creek Park Reserve - Eastman Nature Center Professional Review and Guide
"A hike along creeks, by marshes, and through some big woods. Elm Creek Park Reserve is the largest park in the regional park system at 5,300 acres, though it does not seem to be as appreciated as some of the smaller parks in the system. Nevertheless, the park does offer plenty of nature: three streams, five lakes, lots of marshes, restored prairies, lowland forests, and a small section of the Big Woods.
All of this gives a gentle feel to the place where a short stroll through the woods, along marshes and meandering streams can turn into miles of walking before you know it. The main park’s trail system is a little like a spaghetti junction, since trails for just about every activity cross paths every which way. Special attractions: Overlooks of the creek, a big marsh, and Eastman Nature Center."
