Crow Wing River-Motley to Mississippi River

Crow Wing River-Motley to Mississippi River Professional Review and Guide

"The final stretch of the Crow Wing is influenced by two long reservoirs formed by the Pillager and Sylvan Dams. This stretch will be of little interest to most canoeists, though it is possible to paddle the reservoirs, portage the dams, and continue downstream on the Mississippi.

Largemouth bass, typical of lake environments, are found in Sylvan Reservoir. Below the Sylvan Dam, anglers fish for species that travel upstream from the Mississippi, including walleye and smallmouth bass."
