Moose Lake State Park

Moose Lake State Park Professional Review and Guide

"This park is full of rolling hills, lakes, ponds, and forests, offering plenty of recreation. Echo Lake is a good source of bass, northern pike, and panfish. Hiking trails wind through the trees and around two wildlife ponds, and in winter groomed cross- country ski trails are open. There’s a nice sandy swimming beach with a gradual descent into the lake, making it ideal for younger swimmers.

This park also offers a robust lineup of naturalist programs. Just outside the park is the Willard Munger State Trail, a series of multiuse trails that runs from Hinckley to Duluth, following the path of the trains that saved many lives during the historic Hinckley fires. The campsites are well spaced for privacy. Pets are allowed."
