Rapidan Dam Park

Rapidan Dam Park Professional Review and Guide

"This relatively new park (founded in 2004) is next to the Rapidan Dam and has canoe access to the Blue Earth River there. Canoers will enjoy views of rocky bluffs, wooded hills, rapids, and waterfalls.

Much of the 38 acres of parkland is undeveloped, and the campsites are rustic. There are hiking and biking trails in the campground that connect outside the property to the Red Jacket Trail. Campsites are all along the river and are spaced very generously. The spacing combined with the tree cover makes for a highly private camping experience. Pets are allowed."
