Lake Elmo Park Reserve Professional Review and Guide
"Almost 80 percent of this park is set aside for preservation, making it an excellent nature experience. There are several miles of both paved and unpaved hiking trails that take hikers through the wilderness from the campground and around Lake Elmo and Eagle Point Lake.
The lakes are popular with boaters, and fishing might net you northern pike, largemouth bass, bluegill, or trout. The park system offers an extensive list of programs during the summer, including nature education programs, community events, and an annual bluegrass festival. Campsites are decently spaced, but don’t have much tree cover. Pets are not allowed in this campground."
