Campers here have a choice of forested or lakeside campsites, most of which are fairly private. The robust offerings in the park make it a popular stop, especially in the summer. The campgrounds are connected to the swimming beach by a trail, and plenty of wildlife can be seen along the park’s 14 miles of hiking and 5 miles of biking trails. There’s an observation tower within the park that is the largest in the Minnesota State Parks system, and plenty of historic sites, including the WPA- built Camp Bronson and a pioneer cemetery. Pets are allowed.
