North Fork of the Crow River-Kingston to Dayton

North Fork of the Crow River-Kingston to Dayton Professional Review and Guide

"A slow, winding river bordered by a fringe of woods, the North Fork is a good bet for beginning paddlers and families out for a day or even overnight.

By the time it flows through Rockford, the North Fork has burned up the steepest of its gradient. It settles into a slower pace, meandering across a floodplain sometimes several miles wide. High, wooded bluffs often line the channel. Commonly seen wildlife include waterfowl, shorebirds such as herons, and white-tailed deer."
