Kettle River-CR 131 to CR 52 Professional Review and Guide

"When this small headwaters stream is high or very high, canoeists will enjoy a swift run through long, wavy rapids.

Because the river is small, steep, and drains quickly, it’s too low and rocky to run most of the year. But when spring snowmelt or heavy rains funnel down the watershed, hop aboard for a roller-coaster ride on a series of long, wavy rapids. Rapids are steepest and most numerous in the first half of the run."
