Voyageurs National Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Situated at the top of the state, Cruiser Lake Trail takes you over ridges and past beaver ponds, lakes, and several secluded hike-in camp spots. This magnificent, water-encircled hike crosses a section of the 75,000-acre, roadless Kabetogama Peninsula and goes by Cruiser Lake at its midpoint.
The trail continues all the way to Rainy Lake at the Minnesota/Ontario border. To get to the trailhead, you’ll have to take a boat across Kabetogama Lake into Lost Bay. You’ll be floating on the historic water highway that transported the French voyageurs great distances to deliver their goods for trade."
