McDougal Lake Campground

McDougal Lake Campground Professional Review and Guide

"This small, basic campground is well served by its location facing west over McDougal Lake and the vast forest of birch, maple, and pine surrounding it (it’s within Superior National Forest).

A hiking trail from the campground is a good way to become acquainted with the plants native to the area. There’s a decent swimming beach near the campsites, and plenty of fishing and boating opportunities. (Note: Wild rice grows in this lake.) Campsites are secluded and wooded, allowing plenty of privacy. Pets are allowed."
