Hill City Park Campground

Hill City Park Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Hill City’s public campground is sited on the shores of Hill Lake, with a beautiful sandy beach and boat ramp. The city recently replaced the playground equipment. There are trails that wander off into wooded areas, although the campground itself is not wooded, nor are the sites particularly private. Pets are allowed.

This part of the state is one of the most scenic and beloved areas in Minnesota. It’s also steeped in history. Originally settled by the Ojibwe, the northeast area was soon discovered by Europeans who came looking for trade routes and posts. Fur trading was a booming business until the mid-1800s, when the traders and trappers moved farther west to the Mississippi headwaters area."
