Lake Hanska County Park

Lake Hanska County Park Professional Review and Guide

"This county park has a number of historical features within its borders, including a log cabin from the 1850s and an old fort site. It’s also a highly natural area, with plenty of wildlife to see and birds to watch. The county has put time and money into restoring Lake Hanska, and today it’s a great source of walleye, crappie, and bluegill.

The park has boat access to the lake, and it also has a nice sandy swimming beach. Hiking trails take visitors through the beautiful woods (much of which was planted by pioneer Ole Synsteby in the 1880s) and along the lake. The campsites are generously spaced and heavily wooded. Pets are allowed."
