Red River of the North

Red River of the North Professional Review and Guide

"Besides weaving a strip of natural green through country that is intensively farmed, the Red River offers incredible catfish fishing.

The Red River is predominantly muddy and thoroughly flat, but it’s interesting because it is such an unusual river. For starters, it runs nearly 400 miles along the Minnesota−North Dakota border over a straight-line distance of less than 200 miles. The length is taken up by the river’s wormlike meanders. The river’s indecision is a result of the second notable fact of the Red: the incredible flatness of its valley."
