Trail’s End Campground Professional Review and Guide
"This campground is truly away from it all, tucked into the far end of the Gunflint Trail. It’s along the Seagull River, which has access to Seagull, Gull, and Saganaka Lakes. There are 4 entry points into the Boundary Waters in the campground (permit required), and fishing, bird watching, and wildlife viewing are all excellent here (keep an eye out for bears and wolves).
This area experienced a devastating forest fire years ago, and it’s still recovering, but that’s part of its attraction: seeing nature return. Sites are generously spaced and wooded, and many have water views. Pets are allowed."
