Pincushion Mountain Trails Professional Review and Guide

"This is another cross-country ski trail system, but it is much more bike-friendly than many of the previous ski loops. Most sections of this area have well-defined dirt singletrack, and the grass isn’t high enough to hide potential endo-causing impediments. There are a few wet stretches to deal with, but overall this is a great place to ride. A variety of difficulty levels makes these trails ideal for most enthusiasts; however, even the easiest ones require that riders be in shape.

The North Advanced Loop lives up to its name, with plenty of steep climbs and descents and sharp turns over fairly technical terrain. The highlight, of course, is Pincushion Mountain itself, bald on top with scattered tufts of dwarf pine and other foliage. A short hike from the outer edge of the main loop takes you up to the top, and once there you can ride along the northern part, getting a little taste of slickrock riding made famous in Moab, Utah."

Rode this trail for the Sawtooth Challenge. Aside from the climb from town to the was awesome. Nice rolling terrain, good amount of smooth and rough ground, great single track to mix up the pace. Trail was in really nice condition. Will definitely be back.
