Judge CR Magney State Park

Judge C.R. Magney State Park Professional Review and Guide

"This state park is home to the Devil’s Kettle, a spot along the Brule River where the river splits around a mass of volcanic rock, with half of the river pouring down 50 feet into a pool and the rest pouring into a pothole.

The Kettle is accessible via moderately challenging hiking trails that line the river. The river is also a popular fishing spot for salmon in the spring and fall, and for trout in the summer. The campground itself is fairly bare bones, but the park is the draw and where campers will spend their time. Pets are allowed."
